Village studying electrical aggregation
The Village is currently considering whether to pursue electrical aggregation, which has helped some communities offer lower electrical rates for most residents. Village staff will be presenting their research and recommendation at the June 4 Village Board meeting and will continue to keep residents informed on the issue as it progresses.

Refuse Amnesty Day May 21 and 23
Refuse Amnesty Day will be Monday, May 21 for residents north of 55th Street and Wednesday, May 23 for residents south of 55th. Amnesty Day allows for residents of single-family homes who are customers of Republic Services to place unlimited unwanted items out for collection free of charge. Materials in bundles or containers should not weigh more than 50 pounds. Construction material is limited to two cubic yards. Hazardous materials are not accepted.

2012 Road Program Materials Available Online
The Village is planning for the 2012 Road Program, which seeks to improve some of the lowest-rated streets in the Village and continue the installation of the concrete shoulder. Again this year, the road program will be funded through a Special Service Area. To learn more about the 2012 Road Program, visit the webpage.

Online payments now accepted for water bills, parking tickets
You can now pay your water bill and parking tickets using the Illinois e-Pay service using your MasterCard, Discover, American Express or electronic check. Click here to access the Village's e-Pay web page, hosted by the Illinois State Treasurer.

Village Board Adopts FY13 Budget
The Village Board adopted its Fiscal Year 2013 Budget during its regular meeting on April 16. The Budget document is available for review online.

DuPage County Provides Details for 55th Street Construction
DuPage County will begin construction on 55th Street between Williams Street in Westmont and Holmes Avenue in Clarendon Hills in April 2012. The work will include widening part of 55th Street, adding sidewalk and installing a traffic signal at Walker Avenue, Clarendon Hills Road and 55th Street. The construction is expected to conclude by October 2012. Read the County's handout for more information.

Village Discussing Police Department Changes with Hinsdale
The Village recently began discussions with the Village of Hinsdale about a possible merging of the two departments. Read the press release here.
